The app used to be the best and now you have no selection of the type of news you see. If I wanted a stream of random topics Ill just launch Facebook. Hope he designers see the new low scores and revert and try again.

I used to love this app. Ive had this app for about three years and it used to be so easy to get a lot of good news. The editors seem to be trying to imitate the apple news app. I miss being able to toggle to different categories

The new layout is absolutely terrible. Please put it back to having tabs on top so I can easily read based on topics.

The old layout was stale and needed to be refreshed but at least it was functional. The new update looks amazing but the functionality of it is terrible. Im sad to say Ill be moving on to alternatives.

I like the new layout, but there are some issues. Notifications still do not work, the font is a little small and there is still no widget. Very could content though.....

I love this app. Im not a huge fan of the new layout, but it is great to get all of my news topics some short articles some from NYT and HP. I really enjoy being able yo choose the sources and themes. Cant say enough about having this app.

This is a good app from Google and it is much more intuitive than Apple News app. However, this app needs more polish especially with caching and transition that at time make this seem like an unfinished app and results in a bad user experience. So polish this app, please.

The stories are just perfect and look awesome. I love the animations. Go Google! Best news app out there.

IMHO easier to use than either the Apple news app or individual websites

Would be nice to have better offline reading options but at least no more server errors!

If you really want to know how good this app is, just open the new Apple News app. Excellent consistent formatting and pleasant reading experience. Recommended.

The older version was much better. Please dont compromise utility with advertising!

Totally unstable, crashes immediately without loading the first time I try to use, then crashes when Im about halfway through one article the second time I use it. I keep checking for updates, but there are none. If automatic crash reports are happening, that function must also be broken, because there should be a more stable version by now.

Ever since Apple released iOS 9, the Newstand app is essentially unusable because it crashes constantly. By the way, the news app Apple released with iOS 9 has crashed and is frozen on my screen, unuseable as well. Google and Apple, teaming up to create crappy apps.
