A super useful news app. UI is slick and selection is plentiful. Works with NY Times subscription as well.

Very unintuitive complex reader. Currents was very simple to use and browse for stories, especially by news organizations (local, national, etc). Terrible forced update Google.

Crashes immediately after selecting login profile. I wish this would work as I was disappointed when Current didnt start on iOS 8

Where are the magazines that I have subscribed?

Great app but when I press update all it always crashes after a few minutes. I end up having to manually update my library

Great design. The articles are rendered clean and nice.

It got some getting used to but its pretty good. I wish there were more categories for organizing different news sources.

Half the screen is black!

Could have been great but its predatory on ur hard drive space and has zero app support for its current screen issues

News is nicely displayed in the app with the ability of selecting your news source. The app just doesnt play nice since ios8 release. App will not transition from vertical to horizontal most times. If my iPad is horizontal 9 times out of 10 it will open in the vertical format. Frequent crashes. It was one of my favourite news apps but Ive given up using it.

Im using this on a first gen mini. Occasionally it works properly. Most of the time it doesnt. Heres whats happening when it doesnt work: Sometimes the thing wont load at all, Ill just get the banner and a blank space where my editions should be. The orientation often wont change when I turn my tablet. It loads in portrait even when I load it in landscape. There is a huge black bar at the bottom in portrait view and down the right side in landscape. Sometimes the tiles are in landscape when I have it upright, but I cant scroll to get to them. Some times I cant scroll up and down either. Sometimes if I click on a photo in an article, there is no way to click back out to the article, and I have to close the app and restart it. Syncing is terrible. There is no option to sync all, and sometimes I think Ive synced an edition only to enter an area with no wifi and be unable to access anything. The blue check mark that indicates an edition is downloaded is always there after syncing once, so unless you check you dont know if its actually up to date or if its from that time you synced last week. The only way to clear that check is to delete the entire download. There is also no auto-sync when connected to wifi, which seems like an oversight. This is a huge step down from Google Currents. Its basically like they took all the content from Currents, slapped it into a new app, but didnt bother to include any of the features that made Currents useful. It worked well for the first little while, but now it is in this state and has been for several months. Im extremely disappointment that my favourite newsreader was replaced by this. Ive pretty much given up. Ill check it once on the weekend in the hopes that itll work but I no longer take the time to sync (one by one...because apparently sync all isnt a thing anymore) before leaving for work so I have something to read on my break, because I know it probably wont work anyway.

Its too bad that this app is getting terrible reviews. Both on my iPhone and iPad I am getting stellar performance out of this app.there has been no issues with screen glitches or performance issues, just pure superiority in news consumption.. FOR ME. I hope that this application is patched and becomes usable for everyone else, because this is a truly beautiful application and the usability is unlike any other news app.

As title says. I cant access any magazines Ive purchased on my Nexus. The magazines tab is not there; only the News and Topics tabs.

Pretty much unusable now because the app wont orientate itself properly with screen rotation.

Google, please fix this annoying glitch, performs well otherwise. Rotation bug makes me not want to use the app

I paid for em, where are they? Fix your licensing issues stat.

I dont understand why theres no magazines

I downloaded the app so I could read my purchased magazines on my tablet. Only to find that the option was not included in this version. One question...WHY!!!
